I tried watching the US version, but I didn't like it as much as the UK version. (Though, the UK, version, imo, falls off the rails and goes skidding into an explosives factory at the end of season three. Haven't worked up the nerve to watch the fourth season yet.)

Plus, Aidan Turner is gorgeous.

The fourth season was surprisingly good. I was really, really worried about what they were going to do with it after all of the news of cast members leaving, but they actually managed to do a pretty good job with things considering all of the changes. There were a few plot points that made me go "wut", but I can say that for pretty much all the seasons, lol. Tom and Hal are pretty amazing as characters and they managed not to just make them Mitchell and George v 2.0. IMO, anyway. YMMV, obviously.
