I have these friends who I play MMOs with, and they always make fun of me for being a "roleplayer", i.e., caring about the plot (all they're interested in is killing stuff). It's become a running joke between us, but I haven't talked to these friends in a while because of some drama, and...I actually really, really miss being made fun of. So could somebody here please make fun of me for being a roleplayer? Please? It would cheer me up so hard.

I played in band in sixth and seventh grade. The clarinet. The only instrument I play now is... the skin flute. I'm okay with a harmonica.

True story: I play bingo on the intarwubz and it's like being on a totally different planet. Every other game I play, the chat box is full of people calling each other horrible things, but the bingo chat box is full of people cheerily telling each other "good luck!" and "good game, everyone!" or saying how many spaces they had left until bingo.

Do you play on Pogo? I used to play bingo there on slow days at my old job and yeah, everyone is so nice! It...it actually makes me afraid to say anything because I'm just so out of my element - I usually play WoW and 90% of the time, everybody's just a fuckbag.

Yup! I play a few different games on Pogo, but bingo seems to be the most incredibly civil game there. Everyone else is nice, too, but bingo is the nicest.

You should be smart enough to understand that the back-story in such games are just there to give you a backdrop for the actually killing stuff, who cares if it is Zombies, Nazis, Murlocs or Hordes, the fun is in the killing of such creatures.
