I don't have any Seuss to quote at the moment, but OMG, I love the pale green pants poem! When I was little I used to go on walks with my grandfather and we'd look for the pale green pants.

There have been a couple posts with not that many secrets in it (because of the holidays), and someone who laments the move from LJ thinks that DW is killing F!S. Or something. LOL

This. I don't even ship them, although I enjoy their canon interactions, but I hate how large parts of fandom hate on this ship and completely dismiss the importance these two characters have for each other. And okay if you don't care about Sandor for himself, but he was an important person for Sansa and she thinks about him a lot, so even if you hate him and don't ship them, stop dismissing his importance in her storyline. :/

That was me last week... I don't have much advice except that doing another activity can sort of keep your mind off of it, which is good because dwelling on it only makes it worse. Something like running or cleaning or doing errands or something

I like the Doctor's oddness because it makes him so incredibly enjoyable and fascinating a character to watch.

I think some odd people are sometimes brilliant company and sometimes I admire the outside-the-box way they think and act and the way they don't care what other people think, but I don't like them because they're strange. I like them because they're likable people, and their strangeness is part of them.

People are not like characters on a TV screen. If someone likes being around a real life person because they're "enjoyable and fascinating to watch", that's extremely creepy and disrespectful and kinda dehumanizing, IMHO.

People who like the Doctor (A FICTIONAL CHARACTER)'s unusualness do so because it makes him a good character. Unusualness is a perfectly fine reason to like a character, because a character's purpose is to give the audience enjoyment. A real person's purpose is to live. The Doctor is not alive. He's not real. He doesn't actually have any interaction or awareness of or opinion of the viewers. You're seriously comparing apples and oranges here.

Yeah, I'm with you on this one. Whenever I look at someone's Tumblr profile and see a string of 16 adjectives I just cannot take them seriously anymore.

There's been some fanart on Tumblr, like 3 fics on AO3, but as far as I know, that's it.

To be fair, I think they used to be classified as rodents.

That used to bother me until I realized that most of tumblr is between the age of 13-20 and that's usually when people are starting to learn more about themselves and figure out their identities and what kind of person they are, etc., I mean, a lot of teens do this and it can be kind of annoying but it's normal. I only get annoyed when they get all militant about it

That's fair. OP seems to be commenting about the "women cannot be funny" mindset rather than specifically praising Ellen. I mean, they're doing both, but I think the first one was more the point.
