Well luckily I don't see as much of that, mostly what I see is just news stories and people commenting on them, like whatever homophobic thing this judge did or some racist t-shirts this crappy taco place in South Carolina are making and selling... stuff like that. It's like, okay, I do read news on the internet and I'm perfectly able to follow these stories elsewhere, thanks

The worst is when people are like WHY DOESN'T THIS HAVE 10,000 NOTES and I'm like BECAUSE I USE TUMBLR FOR FANDOM

Exactly! My tumblr is for me to reblog awesome SPN/Avengers/Sherlock/Hobbit stuff. Not to talk about my political agenda.

I also find that half of the time the stuff like that that people reblog isn't even accurate. I've seen so many posts that all you have to do is google that shit and see that it's either from a satirical news site or snopes will have an article about how it's a story that's been going around since 2001. The inability to fact check things is one of my biggest peeves with Tumblr, honestly.

I totally get you on feeling burn out, though. That kind of stuff I typically post about on twitter, where I can discuss it with friends. I don't really feel the need to do so on Tumblr. Tumblr I just want to look at pretty pictures.
