(Anonymous) 2013-01-12 02:05 am (UTC)(link)Hell I'd been reading many of the Doctor Who wikipedia pages for years before I ended up watching Doctor Who (just recently) - usually because someone would say something about the show and I'd get curious enough to read the wikipedia page but not bother watching. And I still check the various episode pages for the episodes as I watch them just to make sure I'm not missing something important. Still hasn't changed my enjoyment of the story.
As a side point I usually roll my eyes and laugh every time the Doctor and River talk about "spoilers" in her journal - I mean I get why in this case because there's a risk of messing up a time line or something but still occasionally my first thought is OMG JUST READ the damn thing already!
