I don't think I've ever seen one single character that I've said "OMG THAT'S ME RIGHT THERE!" about, but there's a few I get bits and pieces from: Wendy Watson from The Middleman, Agnes Nitt from the Discworld books, Temperance Brennan from Bones. I've been told I have things in common with House, which...yeah, not my favorite thing to hear, ever, but I think it was meant as a compliment. But in general any character I really respond to, to the point of writing about/fangirling excessively, is due to some level of identification. Otherwise I wouldn't care.

Wow, that's lovely. I guess it means you at least like yourself :) Because my favourite character are the ones I couldn't identify with for love or money.
