So, as some of you might know (or not know) the actor Jensen Ackles is having a baby with his beloved wife. If you're familiar with the delusional blackhole that is the SPN fandom, you would recall that the J2 fangirls (Mostly heterosexual women who are overly obsessed with the delusion that two actors from SPN are totes homosexual IRL) went out of their minds when the other part of the j2 rpf pairing had a child with his wife. Now that the second actor is having a child the shitstorm of wtfery has come back, only stronger.

Now, not only do they feel they are "terrible" people for bringing "two" babies into their ~bearding~ but these women, mostly -heterosexual women- mind you, want to forcibly out these two actors. Yep, that's right. Because these two men are not going along with their fap material they are ~evil~ and must be ~outed~. I find it sickening that they really don't see how homophobic they're being.

Your argument fails only because you point the finger at all the fans instead of just the crazy ones. Some of us are quite able to distinguish between fantasy and reality.

I would say the sane SPN fans online are the silent minority, sorry.

But the sane fans are still there and still count AS fans. Saying all fans of X are crazy because the loudest ones are tinhats is like saying all women are sluts because a certain percentage of the population wears skimpy clothes and enjoys casual sex. And people are generally against that sort of labeling.

Actually the fans you're talking about here are a noisy minority, and they mostly congregate in SPN_gossip, which is a fandom joke and a shithole of epic proportions.

The crazy part of Supernatural fandom is the gift that keeps on giving. They make me really appreciate a show I have no intention of ever watching existing.

I think there is a lot of batshittery in that fandom which is why I never really considered myself a part of it even when I was doing a lot of fic writing and reading almost exclusively SPN. However, I have to believe that these particular batshitty people are a minority of the fandom. The whole thing is just out of this world to me that anyone truly believes it. I have no trouble believing that most of those comments come from like a handful of people as they are all anon.

Agreed with all of this. I never say I'm in the SPN fandom, I don't want to be associated with those jerks. I know it's a minority, but it's a very loud, unpleasant minority, so.

I feel bad for enjoying the wank.

But yeah seriously, these people are awful. I feel terrible for Danneel and Gen - and Vicki too, ofc. It's not fair that they should be the target of so much misogyny and bullying just because of the men they married.
