Yeah... I gave up on those books when I heard about the part where she walks through a magical fire that restores her virginity just so she could be "pure" again. (Because heaven forbid a female protagonist exist with a broken hymen!)

Okay, I'm glad that I never got around to reading those books now.

Yeah, I think I got recommended those books back in high school as "entertaining sue" (there's an anon comment up a bit that details how ridiculous the series and main character is), but - from what I can remember - the prose was so heavy I could never make it past the first 30 pages.
