(Anonymous) 2013-01-13 05:19 am (UTC)(link)I can do pretty much everything about repairing computers, removing viruses, formatting, getting replacements and giving advice about purchasing a laptop (thanks to my work in a computer sales and service company). However the people in my house think that the wannabe is better at it.
The wannabe is mainly about getting games to be played on an (otherwise) incompatible PCs and breaking them while he's at it. He doesn't know anything about repairing, and often got scammed by servicing companies he went to. And he *still* thinks those scammers did the job "well". (Last time his graphic card busted and he actually bought a new PC system. Whatever works, wannabe. Whatever works.)
At least the laptop I chose for a sister works even after 3 years. The one he chose for another got overheated only after 6 months.
