(Anonymous) 2013-01-13 06:46 am (UTC)(link)The thing about Beauty and the Geek was that it always kept in mind that the "geeks" were, basically, human beings with human desires and human inclinations and human feelings, and that they just weren't used to 'normal' social interaction - and so that, in combination with the fact that it presented the 'beauties' as abnormal to exactly the same extent as the geeks, made it much more about people learning lessons about life than about laughing at geeky people. And King of the Nerds reminds me of that, and I think if they keep that tone it'll be fine.

I looked up the character profiles on their page and actually this might be pretty neat. The commercials worried me a bit but I'm not really worried anymore :)
