Yeah, I don't think I ever see anyone keeping this a secret. Plenty of people who prefer or exclusively enjoy non-con with female victims keep that a secret, though.

If your fetish is not "this character gets raped," but "I must have this character be raped AS A WOMAN," it says something about how you view rape. Something creepy. That it doesn't happen to men, as well.

Not anon you responded to, but it's never just "I'm not that into dudes, so, this is about a woman" (if that were the case there are other female characters to choose from) it is pretty much always "well this wouldn't happen to (said character) as a man/this is "price" of being a woman/let's take this bitch down a notch/etc."

Male!Sniper A has awesome adventures! Female!Sniper A gets nothing but rape.

Is it creepy that they write noncon for females and not males? Or is it just the way they do it/talk about it? The latter I could definitely see; the former would really just be ykinmk wouldn't it?

It's the way they write about it. Rape with these (genderswapped) women is often referred to as the "price" of being female, etc. Especially since these are largely military fiction based fandoms, and men in the military/POWs are raped all the time. It's implying that this is the proper place for women, as well as erasing male victims, all at once.

So yeah, it's creepy as fuck.

Yep. I learned long ago not to bother with fics that are Gendswapped!(insert character here) because while I first I was like "neato! (insert character here) is a badass! I love badass women!" IT IS ALWAYS RAPE.

Same, alas.

The art is worse. Not only is the genderswapped art also almost always rape, it subtracts a decade (or three) from the character's age and shows as much skin as possible. A woman over 20? Ugh. Nobody wants that.

You know what female soldiers really need? Cleavage and pigtails, apparently.
