OP, if you're turning this ship into the basic big, strong, tragic, brooding Derek and the smart, caring, babbling Stiles, you're going to get readership because people like that kind of ship, even if it's OOC (sometimes especially if it's OOC).

On the other hand, I love whenever there's a Teen Wolf/Sterek secret, people show up to rag on this fandom. Like. Ridiculous OOCness and weird kinks and character hate has never happened in any other fandom ever.

Didn't you get the memo? Teen Wolf totally invented that shit and is the only fandom capable of OOCness or a heavy reliance on fanon versus canon. All other fandoms are 100% true to canon at all times and no one ever hates on character or is shitty to other fans.
