Yeah, I've said it before, but you just know -KNOW!- they're gonna kill Fili and Kili dramatically in front of Thorin's eyes.

I just hope they DO get a death scene, instead of just an after the battle note of "yeah, they're dead."

Jackson gives dramatic death scenes to characters who didn't even actually die in the books, I'm sure he's going to wring every tear out of Fili and Kili that he possibly can.

I keep thinking maybe it won't be as bad as I'm imagining, then I remember Haldir and Boromir who's deaths were painful to watch even when I wasn't invested in them beyond 'oh hey they're cool' and the charge that Faramir makes with his company in RoTK that gives me chills every time I watch it... The last Hobbit film is not going to be good for my emotional well being.

I hated how Fili and Kili only got a line in the book. So lame.

But like the anon said, I don't believe it's physically possible for Jackson NOT to play that up; no way could he resist it.

It's going to be heartbreaking but I'd much prefer that to nothing. They deserve a good death scene (and I feel confident they shall get it)!

I just can't believe we have to wait two years to see it. Jesus Christ, how did I ever do this before?

Ten bucks says one of them will be fatally wounded in front of the other in defense of Thorin, and the other will be so driven mad by grief that he ends up diving in to avenge his brother and is fatally wounded as well.

For maximum drama, of course.

I saw the film about a week and a half ago and ever since I've been flipping between "That was an amazing movie, I can't wait for the next one, gimme gimme gimme!" and "But. Noooooo."

I'll already be bawling just because it's the last part (and I'm horrible with endings) but that ending? I may not watch it in company at all because of all the sobbing I'll be doing.
