I love this show, but GOD, YES. When I was sitting in shock after Breakdown's death, there was sadness, yes, but mostly I was thinking "What a WASTE of a potentially amazing character!" His interactions with Knockout and their almost symbiotic dynamic interested me from the start to the point where I started to think of them as one entity, Those Two Decepticons. Knockout's lack of a reaction surprised me, but I I eventually accepted it as in-character enough for me to cope with. But we're coming up on the third season, and we're getting no glimpse of backstory for either him or Knockout, and it's starting to grate on me.

Again, I love this show and I'm not going to stop watching it, but I'm starting to agree about this being the Show of Wasted Potential.
