Gatomon/that dude that died for him

Wizardmon. Let's pretend I had to look that up. And while we're at it, let's also pretend that I don't start wimpering like a kicked puppy everytime I rewatch that scene.

(I always thought of Gatomon as female, though.)

Gatomon is female. I don't know why AYRT said she was male. Did they change her gender in one of the dubbed versions?

All digimon I believe are technically gender-neutral, although they can take gender identities. I'm pretty sure Gatomon got female pronouns in the dub, but I forget if the sub ever said anything.

Well, she was voiced by an adult woman in the original Japanese, so I guess I considered that a pretty clear indicator. Also, Hikari called her "Ojou-sama" in an affectionate/teasing way at least once.

It always seemed clear to me what gender the various digimon were supposed to be, even though Japanese doesn't have gendered pronouns to indicate it.

Haha. I knew it was Wizardmon right away too. (So you don't feel alone.) NOW I WANT TO WATCH 01 and 02 again.

I haven't seen the show since I was ten (and that was thirteen years ago) but of course I remember Wizardmon's name. That arch was the BEST in season 1!

To be fair. Wizardmon's name is not hard to remember. Because he is literally a wizard Digimon.
