Meh. NChick, FilmBrain, Todd and - on occasion - Welshy are pretty much the only guys I watch on the site nowadays, anyway.

I feel bad for saying this, but I'm not really surprised that the show seems to be tanking so hard. The last few years of Nostalgia Critic were very much hit or miss, so it's no wonder that a new project hasn't helped Doug to get his groove back. Not to mention the massive amount of butthurt that was going on when Doug announced that there'd be no more Nostalgia Critic. Call me crazy, but I can't help but to think that there are still some Critic fanboys storming around the site and furiously downvoting every single new DR episode. I'm not saying that's the only reason the show is failing, though. I only watched the first episode and it felt like a huge chore for me, so maybe the quality of the show is just Not That Great.

I like Todd and NChick as well. I kinda like Linkara though I'm not a huge comic book person. I really like Lupa. I also love Diamanda and Brad "Cinema Snob" Jones, but some of the stuff they review is a little extreme, so I skip episode of their shows now and then. I LOVE Team Snob; the group of people Brad does some of his other shows with.

Todd, Chick, and Brad are my mains now, though I also watch Paw quite often. I would watch more Lupa if Phalius wasn't in about 95% of her stuff.

Except he's not. He's not even in half of her stuff. Why do people keep saying this?

Watch her review of "The Amazing Bulk". OMG, I can't believe this movie exists. Also, any of her "Radu Reviews"; those are hilarious.

There was a very long period where it seemed like he was in every review. Her title card would show both of them, and that alone would turn me off. Sure he's a nice enough guy, but he annoys me to no end. I literally cringe every time he speaks in one of the anniversary specials.

I've seen her "Heidi Four Paws" and that was pretty....oh God, that is a thing that exists. WHY. WHY.

Yeah, true, there was a period there where they were in each others' reviews a lot.

Oh, God, Heidi Four Paws. Though I'd say Amazing Bulk is worse.

Her review of The Amazing Bulk literally had me laughing out loud for the whole episode... and "Radu Reviews" is my favourite sub-show that any member of TGWTG has ever created.

And I love that she does the whole video with her own background all wonky to fit the feel of the movie. (-:

As for Radu: Oh man... I love how we always just hear Michelle off-camera, crying... She showed up in one video (the driving safety one?), but I think Lupa realized it works better with her off-camera.

I've been going back through Lupa's archives, and nah, he's not in them all that much.

Good gravy, though, why/how does anyone find him funny or watchable?

As someone who DOES like Phelous [ducks thrown vegetables]... I like his deadpan delivery. And while I can see where people are coming from abut his voice being annoying, it doesn't bother me. [shrug]

I guess I don't think he does deadpan at all. Everything I've heard him say in the anniversary specials was done with blatant, eye-rolling sarcasm. Like, the "Oh, yeah, like that's going to work." Deadpan I like (Brad does good deadpan). Maybe his actual reviews are different.

Hmm... Ok, honestly, I'm not sure what I'd call Phelous' style...
I will say, I get why people don't like them, though I really do. I think he's funny, but I totally understand why a lot of people can't stand him. [shrug]

I like Phelous, too. I actually used to find him annoying, but then I sat down and actually watched a bunch of his videos and got more of a feel for his style and the meta humor he uses, and now I really enjoy his stuff. I can see how he's not for everyone, though. I honestly think that can be said of most of the reviewers on the site. I have a lot of friends who love NChick but I've never been able to get into her.

Yeah, NChick has a pretty different style from most of the TGWTG'er. She doesn't do linear reviews (going through the plot of what's she's reviewing and discussing it as it goes along), and she's quite political (her Ender's Game video... oh, good God...). Some of the others get into that, too (Critic's reviews of the 1999 version of The Haunting and Patch Adams got into Hollywood's treatment of LGBT characters and women, respectively) but she... does it more? I dunno. But I like her. Again though, yeah, I get why not everyone does.

Oh gosh, right there with you on Snob. I freaking love him, he's hilarious and a joy to watch. But when I ran out of whatever I'd been marathoning at the time, I went through a bunch of his videos and...felt a little ill and unsettled after a while. He's great, but some of that stuff is just a little too much.

I'm all about Paw, but only his Music Movies. Nostalgia Chick was in a bad slump awhile back, but lately, she's been great, and Todd in the Shadows is cool even if I really hate a lot of pop music. I keep wanting to get back into Linkara, but it seems like every time I do, there's also some epic story happening, and it was cool the first time, but now, dude, it's getting a little much. (And I wish I cared about gaming or any of the things he reviews, because I heart Jewwario so much.)

Angry Joe is fun. Just...watch him get excited or angry. Game doesn't matter at all. He is just OMG so much fun!

Yeah, I'm selective about what Snob vids I watch. Which is kind of too bad, because what I have watched of his I've really enjoyed. But I know enough about, say, Cannibal Holocaust to know that there's no way I'd want to watch clips of it. That's the nice thing about the V-Log-style current reviews--just them talking about a film is fine, so I can watch those without worry.

Yeah, I watch Paw's Music Movies, too! I've seen a few of his other vids, but I tend to stick with his MMs.

Same with JewWario! He seems really cool, but, yeah, I'm not into gaming. That's why it's nice when he'll do crossovers and whatever. Have you seen Linkara, JewWario, and Suede's reviews of the Pokemon movies? They've only done two so far, though I think they're going to try to do them all. I think. O_O

I have the same problem with the Snob - I love his style but like 90% of the films he reviews are things I don't want to see even in clip form. But then at the same time I don't like his vlogs because they don't have clips in them. :P Yeah I'm really not being fair to him.

(I have the same issue with Diamanda Hagan.)

TEAM SNOB ARE THE BEST. I usually hate Vlogs but I feel compelled to watch all of the Midnight Reviews because I just love listening to them all talk. I was really happy to see that Brad did the Top 10 Worst Films of the year video with Jake again this year.

Yeah, I was so glad when I saw that on his Blip Page! FWIW, I look for Brad's stuff there because some of the stuff posted on his Blip page doesn't end up on TGWTG, or is posted way later.

What I love is, at the beginning of the video, Brad and Jake are talking about how people were upset at them last year because their "Worst Films of 2011" video was really long:
"What was it, like 90 minutes?"
"Yeah, something like that..."
Meanwhile, I'm looking at the bottom of this year's video and noticing the 1hr38min running time... (-:

I follow all of my favorite reviewers on twitter and generally follow links to their videos from there or just check their blip pages, since TGWTG updates a bit slowly and I'm not a huge fan of the navigation.

Haha, I had the exact same thought when watching! I was also thinking boo on the complainers. That's the kind of video that I enjoy being a bit longer. Especially since I can put in on the bg and listen to it like a podcast and don't have to watch everything going on on screen. :)

Yeah, I was actually really happy when I saw the long running time, I was just amused by the irony.(-:

As I said, C!R is great, though he only posts new stuff once in a blue moon. I blame him for getting me into pony fandom. He needs to do more Reviews are Magic because I am too lazy to go back and watch the S1 and S2 episodes in non-summary form :V S3's been pretty entertaining so far though.

Paw's stuff I usually enjoy though the last couple music movies have been hit or miss, usually miss with the reviews where he skips around in the linearity.

Nostalgia Chick I've been marathoning a bit but she's about as hit or miss as the Critic was. Nella's amazing and needs her own show, seriously.

Linkara I watch as I mentioned above. I'm mildly interested in his plotline type stuff, though it might help that I only started following his reviews semi-recently (around the Pokemon special) so I'm not as burnt out on story arcs as long time fans would be. (That and he hasn't done anything storyline in the last several reviews)

Brad's stuff, I tend to skip most of the Snob reviews due to having a fairly weak stomach for that sort of stuff, but I absolutely LOVE his current movie reviews. Especially the reviews he does with Jake; oh god the schadenfreude. I feel bad for laughing at his misery, but he's just so entertaining, ESPECIALLY when angry.

Oh yes C!R is the best. He, Paw and Todd are pretty much the only reason I still visit TGWTG. I agree he needs to do more Reviews are Magic!

I hated CRs MLP retrospective "from a male point of view". I lost so much respect for him when he started to talk like all female fans of MLP and all male fans of MLP are hiveminds.

Sorry, just because you are a Brony doesn't mean you get to talk for all guys who watch MLP. And reviewing the cartoon like it was a fine piece of art made me crack up.
Really, this guy pointed out that the show is inconsistent. It's a show to sell Hasbro toys. They're all inconsistent as fuck.
I wish Bronies like CR would stop taking themselves so seriously.

And that's me talking as a fan of MLP in general, not just the new show that is "okay for guys to watch because it is cool".
