I liked The Hunger Games more as a film than as a book. I think it was done incredibly well, and the way they portrayed certain things were far more powerful than they were from Katniss's monologue.

This. When I read the book, I kept thinking how well it'd work as a film. Suzanne Collins is also a scriptwriter, and it shows.

yeah i really like the book but i love the movie because it showed things that couldn't be in the book because it was in first person

I wouldn't exactly say I liked the movie better, but I had nightmares about being in the Arena after I saw it. The book didn't do that to me at all.
