I usually crosspost my stuff on both ff.net and AO3, because ff.net is bigger and AO3's community seems more shipping-oriented with emphasis on slash and I write mostly gen.
Also, as AO3 gets bigger and more people learn about it and move over there, the quality of the stuff posted there is slowly starting to drop, so. And ff.net's layout doesn't bug me that much. At the very least, people can't do tag essays there...

Yup! It's the people, not the platform. Bad writing exists everywhere.

At the very least, people can't do tag essays there...

So much THIS! I hate AO3's tagging system so much. I hope that kind of thing never comes to FF.net.
