I'd say it depends on fandom. Some fandoms, all the stuff you find on FFN is going to be crap, while for others you'll probably get a higher quality. There's also the aspect of what types of fic - i.e. pairing fic on FFN is usually much worse than most other places, but on the flip side plotty gen fic on FFN is typically pretty good, and in some cases/fandoms even better than what you'll find almost anywhere else.

Also, a lot of people just crosspost. I'd probably crosspost more if I wasn't writing most of my fic anon these days.
