ffn has been around so long though. give ao3 another 10 years until all the preteens find and familiarize themselves with it and then let's talk.

fwiw, some of the best fic i've ever read still exists on ffn and has been posted nowhere else, and some of the most insightful feedback/concrit i've gotten has been from readers there.
