This whole thread is kinda bumming me out because I like Demo Reel a lot. You of course are free to your opinions and I understand them. I got into Demo Reel because of the focus on the characters in later episodes and I know/can see up thread that some people are just into reviews. Still... *waves a fan flag*

Bias aside, from where I'm looking Demo Reel does have its own subsection. I know it does have fans besides me and Doug and Rob seem to really enjoy working on it. I'm not sure what will happen to it but I don't think they want it to just die out.

For me, personally, the characters feel more like cardboard with vague traits tacked onto them. Reb. really came off as a poor man's 'Sweet Dee' and just really didn't win me over. Same with the other characters, aside from maybe Rob's.

I sort of feel like Doug should stop acting in everything he makes. He really isn't coming off as his own character, and he mugs way too much. /my two cents

Fair enough. I don't agree but I can see why you would think so. For my personal view, the characters have enough traits to be unique. Rebecca, for instance, is smart enough not to be complete Cloudcuckoolander but also upbeat enough to be complete "girl with a facade to cover up troubled past".

Doug does mug too much sometimes but his characters always come across as different and their own to me. *shrugs*

I like Demo Reel, too. It has some problems, I know, but it also has some really good parts. I was surprised at how much I like the characters. They really grow on you.

Yay, thank you anon. :) I of course agree. It's not perfect but everyone has indeed grown on me.
