(Anonymous) 2013-01-19 01:34 am (UTC)(link)Yes, I just described me. I expect and want my readers to take my fic seriously and I post on ff.n. I'm nowhere near active enough in my writing and posting to feel the need to learn the culture of a new site. Ff.n works well enough for me and I get plenty of readers/reviewers/favorites etc.
Also, my fandom is SUPER old (re: 90's cartoon) and that's where the people who are still interested in my fandom look for fic because they don't EXPECT it to be on a newer fic site.
But whatevs. Lump all writers on ff.n into one generic label. That's NEVER a bad idea.

(Anonymous) 2013-01-19 11:27 am (UTC)(link)Saying posting on ff.net means authors neither want not expect their readers to take their fic seriously is so obnoxious I just don't even know where to start.
