Yes, you are a snob and this is a stupid attitude to have. Or maybe you just are in fandoms which don't work well with FFnet? For example, I have found EXCELLENT Harry Potter fanfiction from there. Not just your regular shipping and smut (which I honestly don't even read) but actual multichaptered plot driven stuff with excellent characterizations. However, as a recent example, Hobbit fanfiction is absolutely abysmal. Self-inserts/Mary Sues everywhere. However, one of my favorite Thorin/Bilbo fics is in FFnet exclusively. If I didn't check out FFnet despite all of its' flaws I'd have missed it. There's awesome stuff in there. You just need to know how to look for it. Your attitude is ridiculously stupid.
