#16 I like that series, sadly, I'm not really loving it as much as I wish I could; it feels too much like a pale imitation of cowboy bebop, IMO.*shrugs* I also find Hei a wee bit bland. Now, if the lead characters were November 11 and Misaki, I'd probably be all over it. XD

#24 Yeah, I felt that way too when I used to watch this show.

16. Darker than Black...like Cowboy Bebop? That's a new one.

Well, considering its structure (as well as all the pros and cons that go with it), its almost “slice of life” feel versus plot-moving episodes, and especially given Yoko Kanno’s music accompanying it (albeit not that noticeable in DtB’s case), comparing it with Cowboy Bebop shouldn’t really be surprising. Add to that the addition of Amber and Evening Primsrose reminded me particularly of Vicious and Julia who similarly also made an appearance nearing the end of the show to present some sort of overarching plot.

Now, if only the direction (which is uninspired at the most), animation, and characterization were something to be in awe of, I wouldn’t have minded the similarities at all.
