not all thirteen-year-old girls are screaming fanbrats. they have a right to go to conventions as much as you do.

It's not that they're screaming fanbrats; in fact I've met some extremely intelligent and well-behaved thirteen-year-old girls at cons. It's just that I feel, well, weird and out of place being one of the oldest people in the room. (Not to mention it's sort of uncomfortable when you hear "oh, aren't those CARTOONS for KIDS?" all the time from people who aren't into anime as a hobby, and then you go to a con and it's... full of kids.)

Of course they have a right to be there. But I'd also really like to hang out with people around my own age who are into the things I like--that's the main reason I go to cons (aside from the cosplay)--and it's getting difficult to find them at the cons I've been attending. That's all I'm saying.
