I'm a little confused as well. Why are you even reading the fic if you don't like first person? And it makes perfect sense that you won't leave feedback/kudos for a fic that you don't even want to read.

Yeah, it would make sense if they said "I don't read fics in first person" but now it's like...OP, why are you torturing yourself by reading these fics?? Do you just sit there and read them while glaring at your screen the entire time? Do you end up liking some of the fics but you withhold kudos as punishment for them being written in first person? THERE ARE SO MANY LAYERS TO THIS SECRET, HELP ME OP

MTE. I don't get it...

Maybe they still read the fic despite their dislike and frustration, but won't leave kudos out of spite? ... That seems like too much effort, though.

Some people automatically give kudos to everything they read unless it's really, really bad. So maybe OP will give kudos to everything except first-person fics, regardless of quality?
