Why should anyone have to change a story that has already been told just to please you or anyone else? This isn't your story. If you don't like it, simply don't support it.

You are much better off complaining about NEW things that are being written and produced. Wanting a movie based on a decades old book to have more representation is stupid.

Agreed. This is very similar to the secret from about a month ago complaining about the lack of girls in Rise of the Guardians.

Modern source material in that case, but nevertheless the movie was being written about characters who were FROM A BOOK. OP could have complained about the book being all-male. But they complained about the movie. And that's silly.
