Do you ever think that Anon Fraud goes on here?

Like one person replies to someone as Anon, someone replies in turn, and they think they're conversing with the original anon, but they're not?

I know there's DA and SA, but what if an anon lied?

I've actually wondered this sort of thing on tumblr--do people ever send themselves anonymous questions? Like, when they post those "Put a number in my ask box and i'll answer!" posts, and then they get a slew of anons asking what their fave meal is.

I did once, for one of those "send me a question" memes, but then I felt like a loser, so I deleted it without answering it, and I haven't done it sinse.

I'm sure it happens now and then (though why anyone would want to do it is beyond me), but since there's no way to know for sure, it doesn't tend to cross my mind.

There are plenty of anons around, and I usually just assume they're all different people unless they specify 'SA'.

sometimes when i'm anon and i reply to someone without the DA marker, people mix me up with them. i normally just use AYRT or nothing at all. I figure in the long run it doesn't matter, especially if another anon replied faster than me with what i was going to say, more or less, so just continue the conversation as if it were me.

and there's been many a time I've been accused of being an anon all over the thread when no, sorry, you've got two trolls (minimum) today :D

...and I posted a secret once about forgetting which comments were and were not mine. So I've probably had a convo with myself a few times

There's doing that by mistake which happens a lot. And then there's pretending you are/aren't another anon, or thinking that someone is/isn't another anon (even if they're signed in) and a lot of those accusations come from butthurt people who are losing arguments and don't want to admit that more than one person disagrees with them.
