People watch movies for lots of different reasons. If you're spending your time and your money on a leisure activity, how you want to do that is entirely up to you.

For instance, I don't watch movies that I know are going to depress me, no matter how GOOD or DEEP or PROFOUND they are. I have limited resources and I'm going to watch things that I enjoy for the reasons that I enjoy them, not to impress other people.

He wasn't a great Javert, but at least he was a better Javert than Nick Jonas was a Marius. I just watched the 25th Anniversary concert for the first time and Nick Jonas was so bad he took me out of the story. Russel Crowe wasn't that bad, at least.

The artwork in any comic goes a long way in determining whether or not I'll read it. Same with any animated show, actually. If something looks awful, I'm not going to willingly sit through it for anything.

Very few shows hold up to my standards these days. At least there are still plenty of well-drawn comics out there, though.
