I'm not sure what the hell I believe in IRL anymore, but I almost always imagine an afterlife for my favorite characters, for some of the same reasons as you.

As for real life...it's not as dramatized as love in media, but I definitely believe in it. (However, I'm not so interested in having a romantic relationship right now, so that part doesn't really concern me.)
