Also my mom had a crush on Asimov when she learned that he used to read strangers' newspapers on the train upside-down (because he was peering over his own seat) when he was a kid, AND that he impatiently had to wait for them to turn the page, because he read faster upside-down than normal people read rightside-up.

> upside-down
> over his seat

How does that work? I can see peering under the seat equal upside-down letters but over the seat is rightside-up no?

The only way I can see that is if you're facing someone who has the paper folded in half ?

(Also: when Connections</> was being broadcast I used to have wet dreams about James Burke. Funny+smart always sexy.)

He was on his knees, turned around so that the back of his seat was against his stomach, looking down at the stranger's paper.

Presumably they were annoyed, but that didn't stop him, apparently.

Ooooh, looking down the inside of the paper, not the outside.

Gotcha!
