I feel the same way you do sometimes. :) I do watch movies sometimes because I like the actors or actresses, though not always because I think they're hot. When I watch a movie I really want something that will make me feel warm inside and more human, not necessarily that it'll make me hot and bothered. I don't want to be scared silly, I don't want to be turned on, I just want a story I can really love with characters I'll care about.

I guess everyone wants something different in a movie, but we like enough of the same things that many people can enjoy lots of the same movies every year. :)

I think personally you should find some new friends (maybe not get rid of your current ones, just not hang out with them all the time so you don't feel so self-conscious). It's not weird to not want to squee over actors/actresses all the time. Maybe you can find people who want to talk about other things, too.

I haven't read all the comments, btw, but I saw enough that it looks to me like a lot of people are being jerks because you mentioned being asexual. I'm sorry. :( People can be mean if you don't fit the norm or the cool or whatever. This is one reason I'll probably never come out.
