I thought his acting was fine, but his singing was easily the worst of the cast (to me). He would have been great in a non-musical version like the Liam Neeson one.

I think he and Amanda Seyfried were about on par with each other, vocally. The difference is that her role is significantly smaller, despite her appearing on the billboards.

Eh, she's not great either but the tinniness of her voice fit her character a lot better than his muffled singing fit his.

Yeah. I didn't mind Amanda's weaker singing voice, but it helped characterize Cosette as young and naive and that kind of stuff, imo.
