yeah you sound like a sexist asshole. those icky FEMALE friends are so shallow who watch a movie for the hawt guys, unlike me! i'm not like thoose girls!

also, pretty much everything about women in the media is catered towards male gaze so of course your guy friends aren't complaining. and if the film has a male as the star, they get to imagine themself as the hero. if i don't get to see my gender as the star as often, at least make the man attractive.
