Lovely. High of 80F and low of 48. I wore a T-shirt and a light sweater part of the day. Rain this weekend though, just in time for my birthday. :(

Hi, sorry for hijacking the thread here, I was looking up Torchtanic links for a nonny downthread when I found your mention of it and Sinkgate. Intrigued, I tried to find more on Sinkgate and except for you and someone else's passing mention on LJ, there is absolutely nothing on it.

If you don't mind, can you give a quick summary of what Sinkgate was and maybe a link or two? I don't mind doing legwork, I need a starting point though and all I know right now is that it was some kind of Torchwood wank that happened in 2009.

ALLEGEDLY, GDL had sex with a fan in a bathroom at a private room party at Dragon*Con on Sept 6, 2009. It started with the a girl (@diadiadiadia) saying on twitter she "chewed up his lip", and then one of her friends (@chrystalross) either spilled or invented more to it including the phrase "while hovering the sink".

Anons go wild discussing this. Some of it has been screened or deleted- quite wisely, I might add- for anons playing internet detective trying to find out more about these women. Photographs and other D*C attendees did prove that GDL's lip was chewed up on the 7th when it hadn't been the afternoon of the 6th.

On the 8th, @chyrstalross clarifies that it was a kiss only. http://who-anon.livejournal.com/7210.html?thread=32325418#t32325418 Also in that thread, someone uses tweleted to find some of chystralross's deleted tweets- the sink comment, "I totally just made out with Ianto Jones", etc. A lot of people agreed that she probably wasn't expecting the dramabomb and had to backpeddle re: the sinksex.

Although it was never clear how much if any of it was true, it was pretty hilarious at the time.
