Re: Characters that fandom hates but you adore
Namine, Kairi, Xion, and Diz/Ansem the wise from Kingdom Hearts. Hate for the girls seems to have cooled down fortunately, at least in the areas of the fandom I still hang out in. But Diz/Ansem ;_;... he's one of my favorite characters, and sometimes I feel like I may be the only one who like him.
Fam Fanfan from Last Exile: Ginyoku no Fam, I'll honestly take her over Claus any day.
