This kinda happened to me. Very few guys expressed any interest in me before I graduated from high school, but the one who did was also the one I really really REALLY liked and we dated for over 3 years. But outside of that relationship I virtually never got that kind of attention from guys...until my sophomore year of college. Then all of a sudden, BOOM. All these guys everywhere.

I think they kind of grow up a little bit and start to notice people more/for different things. Also me becoming more mature/changing my appearance and mannerisms somewhat probably helped.
