I often post as anon. This is kind of my "public" fandom account (the username corresponds to the one I use on other sites). My parents are both very internet savvy and my mom is actively involved in gaming and its fandoms, so I try not to get involved in any discussions under this username that would be... not parent safe.

I really have no interest in making yet another DW account I'll never use, so I go anon.

Plus, my internet background is the various -chans, and as such I'm a huge supporter of true anonymity online. It brings out the worst in people, but also the best, and the kindness and communities that can be built up in anon spaces are imo some of the most telling demonstrations of human empathy and brotherhood. It's people doing favors and saving lives and having honest conversations, EVEN THOUGH they have no idea who's who or who's what.
