(Anonymous) 2013-01-26 10:48 pm (UTC)(link)The Outriggers series by ATJackson (http://elf_command.tripod.com/at.htm)
Includes two stories, Temporary Duty, and Weakest Link.
It's over the top with h/c tropes but the OCs are characters that I want to read more about. I don't even care about the fandom characters, I just wish there were more Outriggers stories.
Re: rec me
(Anonymous) 2013-01-26 10:58 pm (UTC)(link)Part I: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3759272/1/The-Chong-Sheng-Trilogy-War
Part II: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/4252182/1/The-Chong-Sheng-Trilogy-Peace
Part III: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/6287337/1/The-Chong-Sheng-Trilogy-Revolution
Parts I and II are complete, and the author is still working on Part III. It's not totally OC fic, but there are three or four OCs that are rather prominent, and the one is really getting put through the ringer in Part III.

Re: rec me
Not OC-focused but incredible OCs in this set of stories (ST: Voy): http://archiveofourown.org/series/3319
And an interesting tale from several OC points of view (Narnia): http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5148735/1/The-Palace-Guard

(Anonymous) 2013-01-27 12:17 am (UTC)(link)For HP fandom try looking up the Alexandra Quick series. It's good.

Re: rec me
Most of her OCs are male, none are love interests; her stories on House and Wilson, gen and slashiness and some slash, too.

And there's a pretty good Kirk/Spock one I know of, but hell if I can find it right now. :/
(Star Trek is pretty good for these things, because they sort of need villains of the week.)
re: rec me
The Ollivander Children: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/6297946/1/The-Ollivander-Children I don't think it's consistent with pottermore canon anymore, but still worth a read.
Lines of Descent: http://humongousbighead.homestead.com/descent1.html Pre-HBP but again, still worth a read.

Summary: Gaara is fished out of the river by a woman who quickly realizes that might not have been the best idea.
Re: rec me
(Anonymous) 2013-01-28 10:34 pm (UTC)(link)For The Lord of the Rings fandom :
http://www.fanfiction.net/s/1690622/1/Don-t-Panic
http://www.fanfiction.net/s/1812394/1/Okay-NOW-Panic
The OC is a modern woman really stuck in Middle Earth and the stories tell us how she deal with all the issues possible (getting lost, no survival skills...). For me it is the best series ever written about an OC.
