tl;dr I just don't want a DW account and I like the casualness of it.

Longer version.
FS is the only thing I come to DW for...and I come through the LJ link. I also tend to be on a different computer every day or even different times of the day, so logging on to anything is kind of a pain so I don't bother. Especially if I'm using some kind of touch device, fucking hate touchscreens. /hit all the wrong keys

Some days I troll (well, argue strongly but same thing ;) ), some days I discuss fandom, some days I discuss things in GC. I ask for advice, I give advice, I leave sarcastic comments and genuine comments. I make secrets sometimes. I can and do go a week or so without hopping on FS at all. Some days I don't comment at all, some days I comment a lot. Sometimes I just lurk. Sometimes I will refer to myself as "anon who did/said this" if I think it helps, other times I roll with it and let people assume who I am. It's funnier that way.

I do enjoy the anonymity because I can just post my thing and not feel compelled to come back to read replies or get a notification someone replied to a comment I made X days back. I like the...the casualness of it? Yeah, I really like the casualness of it. I can rock up, give my comment, leave for work and come back and comment later somewhere else. Other anons will take up a discussion if it's interesting enough.

I do get a chuckle if someone thinks me and some other anon are the same anon. Or if they think I am different anons. I have accidentally replied to myself before.

on LJ I was sometimes anon sometimes logged in, depended on if I was on my home computer or one of the many other computers I don't log in on. I've been going anon for years.

The only downside is I'll be called a coward or a troll by someone I'm at opposite sides of an agreement with. I roll my eyes at that and give them ~special attention~ for the duration of the thread for being a dumbfuck. All forgiven by the next day hah.

I just really like being anon and not having to bother with logins. It's a novelty on the internet.
