I think it's really cool she said Dumbledore was gay. I mean, he's the Big Good of the entire story. That's pretty awesome.

Sure I would've liked for there to be a canon gay couple--Remus and Sirius was the big one for a while, Tonks could've mentioned being late for a date with her girlfriend at one point or something, there could've been a same-sex couple at the Yule Ball--but honestly? Given when the books were planned and published, I'm good with what we've got.

And a lot of people like the books. I don't think they're going away any time soon. But I sympathize, since there's plenty of popular stuff I don't like that seems to be everywhere, too. There's something like that for everyone, really.

I don't get why anyone thought Remus and Sirius were even legitimately close to being romantic... they didn't even seem close as friends. :/

I think Dean and Seamus had more chances.

Prisoner of Azkaban. Stuff like this. The fact they sent Harry a joint present at least once (which is pretty coupley).

There were also rumours when the movie of PoA came out that the actor who played Remus thought of him as gay because the director told him so. Plus Snape's 'arguing like an old married couple' line.

For me it was the books, though I see it in the movies too.

I can see an argument being made for a pre-Prank R/S, and a post-Azkaban R/S, but to me anything put in the middle that isn't also deeply fucked up refuses to acknowledge what a betrayal The Prank was and how massively it must have screwed with Remus's head.

And damn it, now I kind of want to write this shit.

Oh, there is a whole section of fic that acknowledges how incredibly fucked up the Prank was and Sirius gets roundly castigated for it frequently. By no means is it all fluffy--it's a very angsty pairing naturally anyway, after all.

But there can always be more, and I'm sure plenty of Wolfstar shippers would love to read another take on it, me included.
