*grins* Well, if you're going to reference a historical figure, there's worse than Grainne. And possibly that's not the version of the nickname people are used to? It's usually anglicised as 'Granuaile', after all.

You're probably right. I've never really worked out how one is meant to pronounce 'Granuaile' tbh.

I don't know how it's meant to be pronounced, but I've always said it as grawn-you-ale? Grainne Mhaol is more grawnya vaol, yes?

"Grawnya Wale" - so I guess the Anglicisation actually works pretty well!
