Thank you, this is more what I meant.

And I don't know how many times I've said it, but I do like tumblr. It's a lot of fun.

But I think that is where the breakdown comes in. Maybe people just have different ideas of what the length of a "discussion" should be. Maybe when they're talking about "meta" (I do feel old now, because I swear that word meant something else five years ago), they do just mean short little bits that are easily shared, not much commented on, and quickly forgotten for the next Cool Idea that came along.
