Yay, JH secret! Pity it's not about the books.
I see where you're coming from, but I can't imagine this being the case neither in fiction nor IRL. The nature of their relationship wouldn't allow it, I suspect. Besides, it breaks my heart to picture this, since I find their friendship awesome.

In fact, this is the single most mentally healthy, happy and stable character I've encountered (and I'd like to believe that the author was like that), and so this is probably one of those rare books where any kind of fucked-upness seems totally inappropriate.
