That's the norm, though. You rarely see a girl who kicks but in non-sexualized clothing. It gets even worse with the romance subplots in her episode(s). (Listening to 'bad little boy' gives off a huge romance angle)

Did you see it as activism initially, and now you're Very Disappointed that it's gone off course? How much fun is one allowed to have while doing activism? Is there a certain amount of fun you can have before you cross the respect-disintegrating force field between activism and plain old fannish silliness...or conversely is there a certain amount of activism you can do before you cross over going the other way?

I just need to be sure, to keep my activism and my fun totally pure and separate.

Initially it pointed out some of the ridiculous poses females were in with the contrast. And no doubt it is fun.

But the more recent pictures I've seen just seem to be comic females and then doing it again with Hawkeye. But the poses aren't so unreasonable? I mean sure, there's still the whole body thing and some of the outfits themselves, but then it's just hawk-eye standing there.

If you know where there is still good stuff being made, by all means, please link me to those artists.

Well...I think she was aged up. I think the doodles we saw of them originally were of an aged up Fionna at more like 16. To the point, Flame Prince seems older than Flame Princess, even thought it should be the inverse.

But since it was done under the light of Ice King fanfic, I don't really mind it at all.

I was just coming here to say this. I initially had some of the same complaints as OP but at the end, when it turns out it's gender-bent fanfic written by the Ice King -- who obviously has a thing for Fionna -- aging her up and putting her in a mini-skirt makes perfect sense.

After my initial side-eye, though, and even before the fanfic reveal, I remembered that I had significant boobage when I was 13. (I prefer to think she's aged up significantly, though, because Fionna being 13 makes the Ice King's thing for her even squickier.)
