I'm not quite that bad with the media, but I definitely feel you on forgetting things I did with people, and retelling things over and over again. For me I think it somewhat ties in with my A.D.D., because I'm usually not giving 100% of my attention even when I try to. It's really easy for my thoughts to drift at any given point, unless I'm focusing really hard. But I agree with what other people say, to see a doctor about it and then you can rule out any other reasons you might be forgetting things.

I'm sorry for being a little relieved I'm not the only one that does that though. I'm always getting frustrated because I have a hard time remembering things, what people look like, when I was supposed to do something I just talked about, etc.

not OP, but I have the same kind of memory issues and I've always associated it with my ADD, just as you've said. I don't know 100% if that's what causes it, but I've just always assumed the two issues were related.

I'm kind of glad I'm not the only one that forgets things I've done with people (totally forgot I'd gone to see a movie with a particular friend; granted, it had been a while, but still), and the retelling things. I don't have A.D.D (and I'm old enough that I would think that I'd have been diagnosed long ago).

Don't have a whole lot of concrete memories from my childhood (I remember things, but exact? Not so much), and the above-mentioned memory issues freak me out more than a little. Can't go see a doctor about it because I don't have a good job and can't spare the money.
