I don't want to diminish the disappointment of losing interest in something you used to love, but if it's being replaced by something more fulfilling, what's the problem?

Also, thinking back to when I was 17... my interests were changing all the time. Sure, there were some things in common from obsession to obsession, but there's nothing wrong with having your focus shift. In my experience it has slowed down as I've gotten older, so enjoy the enthusiasm.
