As much as I hate to admit it, I don't think he'll be able to return. He excelled under the old scoring system, where people were rewarded for artistry and total package type performances, but the new rules favor people with strong jumping skills even if their routines are otherwise blah.

It's a crying shame. It's also why I don't follow figure skating much anymore.
