Same! So many folks don't understand that on top of doing things like lighting, acting, voicework, scripts, ect, these things have to be drawn, rendered and smoothed, or sculpted and moved inch by inch, and when you scrap a segment, you've got to replace it with more than just a reshoot - you've got to use some hours of manpower.
I'm not trying to dismiss live action - it's not bad, and it's not going away. But I wish people could see that animation can cover any genre and not just fantasy or kid's stuff, and that it's just as hard work.

(Anonymous) 2013-02-02 10:04 pm (UTC)(link)I don't mean the effects are necessarily better, that depends on the animation budget, but I think they're more regular in cartoons. As in, you're more likely to see a character casually flying or throwing a fireball or riding a dragon in a cartoon than you are in liveaction, yes?
