Do you mean that you can accept people doing good things if they're insane because "oh, the only reason s/he's doing it is because s/he's nuts" or because of something else, like, if they're nutty enough, they don't seem like the RL human beings you know, so you can believe them doing good things for no reason? (not trying to offend, just genuinely interested)

Also, I got a bit of a chuckle out of envisioning you sitting there watching reruns of The Wire or something and then flipping the channel to Doctor Who during the commercials :D
